Welcome to Finding Gozo — a space dedicated to discovering the heart of Malta’s sister island, one story at a time.
I’m Shona, a frequent visitor who never seems to get enough of this small, soulful island. Every trip to Gozo feels like a return — to sunshine on limestone walls, the smell of sea salt in the air, and the easy rhythm of days that unfold without hurry.
My first visit was meant to be a quick escape. But somewhere between the quiet bays, the village festas, and the sound of the sea, the island stayed with me. I kept coming back — not just to explore, but to understand what makes this place so quietly magnetic. I’m fortunate to have made some good friends on the island through my times here.
Finding Gozo is my way of sharing those discoveries — the hidden paths, the food that tells a story, and the people who bring the island to life. Here you’ll find travel guides, local favourites, reflections on slow living, and glimpses of Gozo beyond the postcards.
Whether you’re planning your first visit or, like me, find yourself always returning, I hope these stories help you see the island through curious eyes — with a sense of wonder and a slower heartbeat.
Let’s keep exploring Gozo together, one story at a time.
